Lorde is the only female act in the Album of the Year category and is the ONLY nominee not offered the opportunity to perform solo at the Grammys!
Reportedly, the Grammys asked Lorde to perform a tribute to the late Tom Perry by singing “American Girl” along with other artists. Lorde declined and is not scheduled to perform.
All other nominees were offered performances. Jay-Z also declined.
